I like flags. The household has quite a few, and we occasionally switches out which one is currently flying, more or less at random. What I want to build is an entire liturgical calendar of flag-relevant events, so they can be switched out every 2-3 weeks (on average).

For example, we have the EU flag to fly during Eurovision. Various pride flags in June, of course. And the UN flag for UN Day (Oct 24). I keep forgetting to buy an Esperanto flag for Zamenhof Day in December. And the French flag for Bastile Day. And NASA (or Apollo program) for July 20.

So I'm turning to you, the internet. What days that have a related flag should we be celebrating? Nothing is too minor, I promise you.

National Pie Day (Jan 23) obvs. There's no official pie flag but you can get anything printed on a banner including a picture of a nice lattice crust. Bonus, you can bring it out again for Thanksgiving.

Sami National Day is February 6 and their flag is cool.

The Star Wars Resistance flag around May 25, the original premiere date of the first film.
Looks like the Articles of the Federation will be signed August 12, 2161, so there's my excuse for the United Federation of Planets.
Founding of Seattle dates to September 25, 1851 so we could fly the city flag.

Richmond's flag, to be flown to indicate the household is eating sushi at the moment
New Orleans flag for Mardi Gras
Alternately, the Pancake Platoon flag for Shrove Tuesday, aka Pancake Day.
June 14 is flag day in the US and you should get a flag with a picture of an American flag on it.
The Isle of Man flag at the end of May. That's when their big race is but mostly I suggest this because their flag is freaking awesome. Also holy shit, what a coat of arms.
Girl Scout/Guide flag for thinking day (Feb 22)
White flag Dec 6 for the Ecole Polytechnique massacre / gendered violence memorial
Trans pride flag for TDOR
Canada Day is July 1! Celebrate yo' country's hat

Does the Agora have a firm founding date? Because y'all should totally have your own flag. Or just go with the flag of Greece, fuck it, we're stealing your agora AND your flag.

It's not my favorite occasion, but the Trans Pride flag for the Trans Day of Remembrance would be appropriate. ETA: That's November 20.

You could do Germany for Einheitstag, October 3.
