Hello, I added you as from reading your page, you seem to do a lot of neat activities.
At work, my inbox functions as a to-do list too. I used to have several very old emails in it, but now there's a policy that any mail over 3 months old gets deleted automatically. So I have to archive anything once it gets that old. There's a (Lotus Notes) bug with the archive inbox, in that sometimes it gets flooded with emails that I had previously indexed to other folders. So I can't keep special items in the archive inbox anymore, as they get lost in such a flood. Now I have a special archive folder for "things that are still to do, but I don't know if I'll ever get around to them".
