Several months ago I posted a video of a most excellent talk by Jesse Schell about where games are going. I just wanted to point out that he recently did a talk for the Long Now Foundation which it also really awesome and gets into lots of interesting specific ideas and explorations of possibilities. The first 15 minutes are kind of a recap of the first talk, but then it gets into lots of new stuff.

And I should just general plug their Seminars About Long-term Thinking, which I recently discovered. The range of speakers and subjects is really vast, and if you're at all interested in the kind of polymathy, slightly-pretentious, slightly-SF, mostly-serious attempts to reason about where our species is going that I obviously am, you should check it out. Good stuff.
