4500 miles later...
I'm in Spokane, flying back to Seattle tonight. The road trip is over. Two and a half weeks, covering 19 states + DC, 10 of which were brand new for me: North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Mississippi, Alabama, Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska and South Dakota. Sights seen: Holocaust Museum, Udvar-Hazy Air & Space Museum, George Washington's Grist Mill, Colonial Williamsburg, Kitty Hawk, Savannah, Castillo de San Marcos, STS-132 launch, Bok Tower Gardens, the refurbished Saturn V and long over-due protective building in Houston, the American Wind Power Center and Museum. Whew!
(I guess LJ doesn't allow the embedding of Google Maps, so click here for a route map. That's a lot of new lines for my roads-I-have-driven map!)
