Seems journalism is very time-sensitive, so writers that provide content directly to a "blog" (or real-time news service) could be compensated by the news-service's advertising revenue. (Yeah, I hate advertising, but it seems inherent in most of the commercial information distribution.) Or, folks pay for the custom-live-news-feed they care about. Etc.

For journalism, a 1-week copyright, would mostly serve.
