much travelling and an undignified plee for help

Currently on the bus, headed back north after a weekend in Seattle for [livejournal.com profile] vixyish's birthday. Highlights include scoring 100% on NIN's The Hand That Feeds playing drums on Rock Band on hard, an emergency run to the hardware store for gold paint, and shiny new brass gears.

But! I'll be taking it back down again Thursday, in order to fly to Denver. From there I'll get to Colorado Springs, where I'll be picking up a car we're buying to replace the one that was just wrecked. And then: roadtrip back to Seattle! Lots of new lines to add to my map, yay! And I can stop in Spokane to spend a few days helping my dad prep for Burning Man. Very much looking forward to all of it. (Except all the travel on Thursday. That day is largely going to suck.)

Speaking of... would anyone I know in the area be interested in doing me a huuuuuge favor? There is a shuttle bus from the Denver airport to Colorado Springs, but making it is going to be tight and it's not exactly cheap. If you'd be willing to replicate its services, I can offer my sparkling wit and finely-honed conversational skills in return. My flight gets in at 19:30 Thursday night.

Unfortunately I'm at work until 18:30 (so I would get there well after you land) and have to be at work at 07:30 the next morning, so I'm not seeing it as ideal.

But a) if you're really stuck, let me know - I can come up there right after work if need be, and get there around 20:30-21:00 at the latest...

b) if someone else runs you down here, and y'all need anything at that point (dinner company, pit stop, or whatever, let me know)

Email or LJ is the best way to get in touch, though I will email you my cell in case of Drastic Emergency.

PS If you could get a ride INTO Denver from the airport, you could probably pretty easily take the Front Range Express down to the Springs, and I could certainly absolutely get you from whichever FREX stop to where you need to go... esp. since it stops like 6 blocks from my house on request.

Take a look at http://www.frontrangeexpress.com/?sid=1 (scroll down for southbound) - 11 bucks southbound but I'm thinking timingwise you'd have to catch either the 20:25 stop at the Arapahoe P&R or the 20:45 one at Castle Rock...

I should have edited the post, sorry.

I'm sorry, I never responded to this. [livejournal.com profile] randomdreams graciously provided the taxi service, and I just didn't have any time left over to see anyone else. Thanks for the offer, though. :)

No worries, I saw his comment & figured you were taken care of... and I've been sick for more than a week now so it's best no one got my horrid germs anyway....
