I got to use the word kudlik in the D&D game tonight. If I wasn't the DM, I'd claim I should get XP for that! Tonight involved combat on a bunch of shifting icebergs, which was pretty fun. The mechanics could have used some work, though.
Ordered the proper brass gears and driveshaft stock for the sunglasses today, woo! Still need the fancy screws (though I can live without them) and the polarized film. (And a slotting disk for mounting the film in the frame and lens gears, though there are less elegant ways to do this if that doesn't work out.) My main goal for the weekend is getting the lens gear restraint clips mounted, and maybe the ear piece mounts as well. The ear pieces themselves will take longer, since I'm going to have to prototype them to work out the exact geometry to fit my head.
