2000 was sure as hell more stressful for me. I was also more stressed in 2004, because I was still het up from the evil cheat slimeness of 2000 and the resultant shiny new wars. I think I couldn't hate any administration as much as I have hated this one, so even though I understand that McCain probably = more Bush, I'm oddly unmoved. Which is sad, because Obama's the first candidate I've felt honored to be able to vote for.
Which is not to say I'm as gaspingly in love with him as many of my liberal white male associates seem to be (perhaps they're the only ones talking about it loudly); but there's something pretty cool about being able to vote for someone because they're black and still be absolutely sure it's the right vote. If I may be so cynical and yet so naive.
