Whoops, it's been a month since my birthday. Time for my yearly review!
From September 4, 2007 to September 4, 2008 I...
...finished my first year of grad school.
...taught myself a decent amount of cooking.
...was part of the winning team for this year's Semantic Robot Vision Challenge.
...finally wrote a story set in the fantasy universe I've been developing for years.
...gained several skill points in talking to random people and making new friends.
...found out I have a certain amount of skill in teaching.
...attended Burning Man for the first time and became utterly addicted.

vixyish for the first time in 7 years has been hard. I'm enjoying grad school, but while I've certainly learned a lot, it doesn't feel like I've done much. I'm not comfortable without a host of crazy projects going on the side, and those just aren't very practical right now.
