Falling, falling

I'm listening to the unofficial Real Genius soundtrack, and I'm Falling (aka the studying montage song) just came on. I should have had this song last April. It could have played on constant loop for the entire month.

I could never study to this music, I'd be too busy grooving.

The world need more Val Kilmer.

Oh, I always *loved* that song. That one and Man in the Making.

I have had both on rotation in any mp3 player for quite some time now.

Don't get me started on the "missing footage" in that film though. It's missing a good 20 minutes or more from when I saw it in the theater.

I so wanted to go to a school like that... :-/

Really? What's it missing? I want to get you started. :)

I wonder if it's findable somewhere...

I actually saw it with two other friends opening day and while the core of the movie is the same there are subtle difference.

Some of it is little stuff like the length of the Freshman Tea and a shot of Chris floating by the professor's office window in a lawn chair suspended by balloons. (Shown in the trailer and the theater but not on any tapes/dvds.) Other things are changed lines such as the "I want to see more of you in the lab."/"Okay. I'll gain weight.". In the theater that line was "Okay. I'll work naked."

The one scene that always sticks in my mind is right after the "floor buffer" scene. It's daylight and Chris bursts into Jordan's room looking for Mitch. The next thing you hear is a thump and an OW! and you see Mitch and Jordan stick their heads out from under the blanket.

There used to be a thread of missing scenes here:

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0089886/board?p=1?c=1

but they seem to have also gone missing. As well as anything not recently entered.

I literally have four copies of this movie in an attempt to locate those scenes. (2 VHS, 1 DVD, 1 Laserdisc.) If the stuff is going to be anywhere it's probably going to be on a screener version of the VHS but trying to find that...
