I bet a good data point for your survey would be age, but it's too late now (muhaha, etc)

1. Sure. It's a form of trail mix.
2. These days, I'd say 'trail mix'. I can't remember what goes into gorp anymore. I've FORGOTTEN BASIC HIKING KNOWLEDGE!

yes - and it's a specific type of trail mix, it must have chocolate and peanuts. The rest of the composition is subject to variation...
