Day 3

I'm going to leave my schedule the way it is: AI 1, Image Understanding 1, Computational Linguistics 1. Numerical Optimization is just too far beyond me, and Topics in Numerical Computation conflicts. So, not very well rounded, but it will work. There just weren't many options this term.

Looks to be an interesting and not completely insanely busy couple of months. I have 4 lab sections to teach, and some office hours. I now need to get involved in the reading groups, to start exploring possible labs for next year.

Also, I am now a convert to Freecell. It is exactly what I was looking for in a game for my PDA.

Freecell is great. I think you have enough to keep you busy, if not out of trouble.

I suspect you are underestimating the impending insanity, but what do I know? I've never been a grad student. :-)

My grad school experience started in August of 2001, so our pastime rapidly became following CNN and debating geopolitics. :/ And writing adaptive-load web servers that could handle massive numbers of requests by degrading chrome and keeping content.
