On an unrelated note: during your work on your space robot, did you ever interact with any NASA contractors in Cleveland? I ask because, while you were off on your odyssey, I went to my 15th reunion and chatted with a guy I haven't seen in 10 years, who apparently had a contract writing code for robots and micro-gravity experiments for NASA. I wanted to ask if he knew you, and then I realized that I don't know your name, and asking if he knew gfish seemed a bit daft. He's a private sort, so I didn't want to just put his name in your LJ, but if he sounds like someone you might you, we can communicate further more privately.
I'm told something similar happened both nights. It was amazing. Our night, it happened exactly as he was making fly jokes, it landed on his coat, everyone could see it. He looked down and flicked it off, and it landed on the stage and everyone could still see it. He started doing shtick, even at one point directing his monologue *at* the fly on the stage.
And he kept saying "Oh my god! It's the same fucking fly!" and we didn't get it at first, 'til someone told us that it had happened on Saturday night too...
