The Spirit Mars rover appears to be safe on the surface. In a perfect world this wouldn't bring tears to my eyes. But it has been 6.5 years, 4 failed Mars missions, innumerable ISS delays and one lost Shuttle since Pathfinder. Thank you, NASA. And godspeed, Spirit.
