Hello from sunny San Antonio! Despite being in Texas, I like it quite a bit. A lot better than Denver. Lower altitude, much more moisture in the air -- far fewer nosebleeds. Downtown is pretty nifty, with cool old architecture of the kind that just doesn't exist in the northwest.
One of the aspects of this trip was demoing some of our software on wireless devices. Which means we have about 7 high end wireless device. Some we own, most are on loan from various vendors. My old visorphone is looking pretty pathetic in comparison. I'm totally lusting after this pretty little thing. This, while not as pretty, is also fun and a lot cheaper. But it doens't even have an SDK yet. Pocket PC is certainly well established and third-party-developed, even if it isn't my favorite environment.
I've also been having fun watching DVDs on the work laptop. I brought several from my collection, which feels very decadent. Watching the first 30 minutes of Fight Club on the flight from Denver to San Antonio was great.
I've been reading a general kitplane construction guide I borrowed from
xmurf. I'm glad I don't have the room to build a plane, because I could get into this far too easily.
