Today I voted in person for what may be the last time. While I approve of the reasoning behind switching entirely to absentee ballots, I'm going to miss the ritual aspect.

Also, there were exit-pollsters there, and they completely ignored me as I walked out. Bah. My last chance to be exit-polled, wasted.

You and me both. There's something about the ritual that I really appreciate. It reminds you of the gravity of voting.

I didn't even get a sticker that said "I voted!" today. bah

You can always go turn in your absentee ballot in person. That's the most secure of all, I think, and then you get to feel civic in company, and maybe even get polled.

No reason you can't take your absentee ballot to a polling place. When I'm in town, that's my preferred action.
