Considering that everyone in hpr seems to be doing dual deployment these days, it seems reasonable to do it with helicopter recovery.
By the way, are/were you at all in touch with the contest rocketry scene, and how they do helicpter recovery? Your failure mode doesn't all that far from some of the failure modes in helicopter duration contests.
