That would be cool, but difficult. I would imagine that Google is buying photos from more than one source (satellite and aerial mapping services). I could of course be wrong.
Actually, the Google Map photo of the Burning Man site looks like it was taken during set-up. The grid is visible in the picture, and you can see some campsites already in place. I don't know the lat/long coordinates, but if you search on Gerlach, NV then follow the roads northeast, there it is.
